Amazing ThailandIn order to mark the 84th Anniversary Birthday of His Majesty the King, the Thai community in Washington DC will organize the Thai Village which will be held in part of the 8th annual Asian Festival. 

The Thai Community in Washington DC lead by Thai Tennis Organization has organized this year’s fair under the slogan of "84 Pansa Maharaj Tam Roi Phra Bhad Ka Chad Chuay Thai Tawai Tai Ong Rachan", (84 Pansa Maharaj, Thai Community follows in HM’s footsteps, and work for Thais).

For this year’s activities, we have more than 60 booths from both government and private organizations, to display their goods and/or activities performed and entertain the fair-goers.

Apart from inspecting consumable goods on sale, the fair-goers can try their luck by picking lucky stars, and/or buying the Thai Village raffle. There are also products from royal projects: from Chitlada Villa, from HM the Queen’s shop; from Phra Dabot Foundation, from Silpacheep 904 shop, for example. This year, we welcome our main sponsor - the booth of the tourism Authority of Thailand. There is an exhibition to inform the public of the King of Thailand’s various activities.

At the fair, there are stage performance and paraded that organized by local Thai association. Decoration booth at the fair are also competing under the theme of "84 Pansa Maharaj, Thai Community follows in HM’s footsteps and work for Thais". There are 4 categories of the contents: Economy – follow the sufficiency economy principle; Natural Resources and Environment – support local technology/knowhow; Education and learning – strengthen our communities; and Tourism - hidden gems in Thailand.

The Thai Community in Washington DC would like to invite the public to come and enjoy our showcasing, and taste authentic Thai cuisines from 20 + restaurants in ranging from pad thai, drunken noodle, noodle soup, chicken sa-tay, papaya salad and etc.
