The "Asian Festival" is now a two-day FREE ADMISSION event to promote a greater understanding of Asian countries and culture. This year we are showcasing China to celebrate the spirit of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In addition, all participating Asian countries have an opportunity to share their unique music, cultural performances, food, fashion, handicrafts, and other products and entertainment. The Asian Festival which has grown into huge success in the D.C. Metro Area has blended together trade opportunities, product marketing, entertainment, food and tennis, creating an event that has something for everyone, and for all ages!
Food & Multi-Cultural Market place
25 well-known Asian restaurants will feature their authentic specialty dishes from their countries and regions. Many of the specialty dishes you cannot find on menus. Explore and shop the mutil-Cultural marketplace where you can find unique items imported from various regions of Asia.
Entertainment & Asian Idol Contest
The Festival area will have 2 different stages highlighting “Non-stop” best renowned performers, fashion show, Asian martial arts demonstrations, music. Do you have what it takes to be the next Asian Idol? Anyone, any song, any language for a chance to win $1,000.
Tennis
In conjunction with the Festival, more than 100 up-and-coming tennis stars from across the globe will compete in one of the 5th largest prize money women's professional tennis challenger in the United States. Free Children's Tennis Clinic will be offered by current world top players from the Legg Mason Tennis Classic.
